The GDDP image
The Geometry Dash Demon Progression (often abbreviated GDDP) is a list of Demons created by TrusTa, with help from TJ, Jcak, SkyJax, Zupreme, RicoLP, Zamasu, Ryujin, and AeonAir. The purpose of the list is to help players find Demon levels to complete and further their skills in Geometry Dash. The list is formatted into several tiers, each one having more and more difficult Demon levels. The player must complete a certain amount of Demons on a tier to complete the tier and must complete every Demon on a tier to achieve a «+» rank on the tier. In addition to the main tiers, there are also bonus packs of Demon levels as well as a themed pack of Demons every month. The GDDP started as a spreadsheet but has now formed into a full website, which is co-owned by Krtar and Lia.
This is a list of every level in the main tiers of the GDDP. Note that several levels in the Amethyst, Azurite, and Obsidian tiers are currently impossible.
Often, levels are removed from the tiers in favor of other levels. These levels end up in Legacy tiers, which do not further the player’s progress on the GDDP.
Ever since February 2022, a new pack of themed demons of varying difficulty is released each month. These give monthly tokens for each player’s profile. Monthly packs get completely removed from the website after 12 months.
Throwback Anniversary!
A lot has happened since the last serious update to pointercrate. While I am writing this, I am studying abroad in Ohio. By the end of the year, I’ll be attending grad school in England. These undertakings require money, money I do not have. This is why I recently started putting put ads on pointercrate, with 100% of revenue going into my tuition fund.
Note that for now, past versions of the stats viewer are not available. This is definitely planned, though.
Not a lot tbh!
Keeping up with the tradition of updating this part of the website precisely once a year, I find myself not really able to report about a major update at all. While there were some quite significant changes made to pointercrate this year, they were mostly internal, or not available to the public. Which is why I am using this entry to just quickly summarize the few things that did change this year
Some of these changes will bring improvements to the public facing parts of pointercrate soon hopefully. Mainly, there are plans to overhault the record submitters using some of the UI components that have been developed for the internal management interface. A completely list of planned featured can also be found on this trello board.
Rustification!
The entire website has been rewritten in Rust! Various minor bugs that were noticed while porting over from the old python backend were fixed and performance has greatly improved. Other than that, it’s mostly an internal change, so the list of (visible) changes is rather short:
Anniversary Update!
Its been one year since I rented the pointercrate domain and started hosting the Demonlist! Today I’m happy to announce the official pointercrate API, which can be used to programmatically access the Demonlist. The documentation can be found here. Дальнейшие незначительные изменения включают:
